Jones is de zwart witte poly broer van India. Geen super grote kater met geweldige ‘looks’ ,maar eentje met een heel interessante stamboom en een super karakter. Hij is de zoon van onze Kashka en Lily,dus hij draagt ook verdund. Hij heeft een heel mooie volle vacht en een geweldige pluimstaart. Inmiddels is Jones al enkele keren vader geworden en heeft hij voor heel mooie nakomelingen gezorgd,waarvan de meerderheid ook poly is. Nu hopen we alleen zelf ook nog eens een mooi kind van hem te kunnen aanhouden,met dat zelfde lieve knuffel gehalte.. |

Jones is a black and white poly brother of our India. He is not a huge male with excellent looks, but one with a very interesting pedigree and a super character. He is the son of our Kashka and Lily, so he also carries dilution. He has a beautiful coat and fluffy tale and he passes on his polypaws to most of his offspring. We hope we will have a beautiful son our daughter of him, with the same loveble personality. |

| Polydactyl betekend dat er aan één of meerdere pootjes één of meerdere extra tenen zitten.De Poly Coons hebben hierdoor nog grotere voeten dan de 'gewone' Coons.Het lijkt eigenlijk net of ze handjes hebben en kunnen hierdoor heel goed in en uit bomen klimmen en ook heel goed dingen met hun pootjes vasthouden.Bij de oorspronklijke Maine Coon kwam dit bij zo'n 30 tot 40 % van de populatie voor.Nu komt het niet meer zo vaak voor,omdat sommige mensen dit als een afwijking zien of het gewoon niet mooi vinden.Op de shows is het hebben van extra tenen ook niet toegestaan en bij sommige rasverenigingen is het ook verboden om met Poly's te fokken.Wij vinden dat polydactylie bij de Maine Coon mag voorkomen,dus fokken we af en toe met Poly-lijnen om die geweldige Poly-Coons in stand te kunnen houden. |

| Polydactyl means having one or more extra toes at one or more paws.The Poly-Coons have even bigger paws than the 'ordinary' Coon.You could even say that they have hands,and this makes it very easy for them to climb in and out of trees and to catch things with their paws.In the beginning 30 to 40 % of the Maine Coon was polydactyl, but these days it's much less common.Some people just don't like it and some people even see it as an genetic defect.That is why you cannot take your Poly-Coon to a catshow and some catclubs even forbid breeding with Poly-Coons.We think that the Polydactyl Maine Coon should exist next to the 'ordinary' Maine Coon, just like in the early days,so that is why we breed our poly's |

| Inmiddels is Jones gecastreerd en mag hij lekker bij ons van zijn pensioen genieten. |

Indiana P Jones van Siduroy, one of the Dutch representatives in our quest for acceptance of polydactily in the Maine Coon breed has gone. He passed away Friday afternoon (21-09-2012)after having 6 strokes in less than two weeks . Jones was one of the sweetest en most laid-back cats I have ever met. He loved everyone, cats, dogs and humans and they all loved him. He welcomed every visitor at our house(first timer or well-known ) by sitting on their lap expecting to be cuddled. And everyone did. No one could resist his charms. He was a happy go lucky cat with no problems what so ever until two weeks ago when he had his first stroke. It was a mild one, took about 20 minutes and after a few hours sleep he was as good as ever. The following strokes were much severe. They made him unstable when walking and made him very timid and withdrawn. Friday morning he lay asleep on one of his favorite pillows under the livingroomtable ,still not completely recovered from the stroke he had the day before, so I gave him his vitamins and medicine and left him there, knowing he would be safe and comfortable. When I checked him a few hours later I thought he was still asleep but soon I realized he would never wake up again. When he left he took a peace of my heart with him and I will miss him forever.
